This psychoeducational eating disorders weekly group is for adults and focuses on underlying causes of constant struggle to achieve and/or maintain healthy weight due to binge eating and other disordered eating habits. It will provide its members with effective tools to achieve their desired weight outcomes and maintain healthy weight long-term by breaking destructive habits in several aspects of their life and changing their relationship with food. The main focus of the group is for members to understand that in order to change their body on the outside, they first must take steps in understanding the significance of their emotional well-being. Members will be provided with an opportunity to share their struggles, life experiences, reactions, and eventually, their triumphs in taking steps toward becoming their best versions of themselves on the inside, as well as on the outside.
It is facilitated by Anna Hanson, who is a therapist and Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
Anna is fluent in both English and Russian.
